Our extensive programme of enrichment activities is designed to challenge, develop, promote self-confidence and engender a sense of achievement in meeting each new challenge. All pupils at Cranford are encouraged to take part in extra-curricular activities and to benefit from the wealth of opportunities available to them.

We're proud that over 100 clubs and activities run across the school year, giving pupils of all interests the chance to explore, experience and develop new enthusiasms.

HEAD OF MUSIC - MRS POWELL

Drama, musical theatre and dance productions are an important aspect of school life and all are encouraged to take part. With its crucial role in developing strong communication skills, Drama is central to the school’s curriculum right through to Sixth Form. Alongside exciting theatre trips, the school is renowned for their in-house productions, helping further fuel an interest in the performing arts.

Duke of Edinburgh Awards

DofE is the world’s leading youth achievement award, offering pupils the opportunity for adventure and challenge, as well as a valuable qualification once completed. At Cranford, we are proud to run both the Bronze and Silver Awards in our Senior School. We also plan to offer the Gold Award to our students once our Sixth Form is open.

Our exciting DofE programme provides our pupils with the opportunity to develop new skills, build self-confidence, challenge themselves and realise a sense of pride and achievement. Over 80% of pupils in Key Stage 4 complete the DofE scheme and our experienced DofE and activities co-ordinators are there to support them every step of the way.

Whilst we have a successful track record of working with external providers, we are proud that Cranford School is now a directly licensed centre for DofE, meaning we are now qualified to run our own DofE expeditions & awards.
