Sixth Form Enrichment

Your time in Sixth Form is about so much more than simply studying your chosen A-level subjects.

In the Sixth Form you are given far greater independence and challenged to take responsibility for your own learning. Our broad and varied Enrichment Programme is carefully designed to offer a bridge between school and university.

Our Enrichment Programme gives you the chance to extend existing interests and develop new ones and firmly encourages all our students to gain unique experiences designed to engage and inspire. We hope these opportunities support you in developing skills and interests that stay with you long beyond the classroom.

Trips and Visits

You are encouraged to undertake a minimum of one activity within each element during your time in Sixth Form. This helps to ensure you have a broad and balanced Sixth Form experience and supports you in developing your CV as you look forward to university applications and the world beyond school.

Music

Ensembles and Choirs offer students the opportunity to expand their musicality in a fun and stimulating environment. Students develop their social and communication skills by playing and singing with their peers, and performance opportunities allow their confidence and self-esteem to grow. Our musical ensembles pride themselves on being inclusive and allow all students to enjoy music making together.

Drama & Theatre

Performing Arts at Cranford is a hive of activity which helps pupils build confidence, inspire and nurture collective creativity all while making great friendships. Drama has a place for all and participation is encouraged and supported within all areas of our school productions.

We encourage as many students as possible to take part in school productions, with a wide range of roles on and off the stage available. Participants will be required to attend school show rehearsals in line with the various school productions.

Sport

Extra-curricular sport is an integral and popular part of school life. These sessions allow pupils to continue to develop a range of skills, both physically and socially. Students experience a wide range of sport delivered by our specialist PE staff which ensures we cater for all abilities and interests. These sports also have a focus on encouraging an appreciation of a healthy lifestyle.
